Little Bear in the Woods

Oh, how I love this little Bear's face

And this little plot of land in the hill tops of Bannock County, Idaho

I love that it holds so many great memories for my kids and that they want their kids to experience it.

I love that when I was a young girl, this is the legacy that my parents gave me

And the hard work of my siblings to keep the legacy alive for our posterity.

And I love Poppa who joined us late Friday night and blew up (mostly by his own lung capacity) our airmattress so we could get good sleep.  Happy Fathers Day Poppa!
Sorry, I didnt get any pics of the rest of the groups -- over 55 people worked and helped at AV this past week-- and 6 dogs!!. It was a great weekend!!

Fancy Pants

Last week I found these fun white capris.  Kind of a stretchy polpin coming just below my knee.  Last night Emerson ended up sleeping over because his daddy got into a long winded discussion and Emers finally just gave up and went to bed on the top bunk.  This morning we got up, had breakfast and as we were walking out the door to take him home as I go to work he looked at me and said "Aren't you gonna put any pants on?"  Hmmm, so much for my styling sense!

SALT LAKE CITY — I love cats.

I grew up with cats: Cally, Tiger, Cinder, Sidney.
I currently own a cat, Tripley, but never once have I ever thought about memorializing any one of them by turning them into a quadcopter.
But that is exactly what Dutch artist Bart Jansen did with his pet cat, Orville, named after the famous aviator Orville Wright.
You see, Orville, the cat, was hit and killed by a car and after a "period of mourning" Jansen felt the best way to pay tribute to his cat was to allow him to fly with the birds.
"Oh how he loved birds," Jansen wrote. "Now he is finally flying with the birds. The greatest goal a cat could ever reach!"
Yeah, it is kind of creepy, but lots of people preserve their pets or prizes.
Jansen simply added a twist, or a Lotus T580 engine and four propellers, and created the Orvillecopter.
Rest in peace? Doesn't quite seem appropriate considering the cat's eyes are wide open.
